On a 6 wire connector, would I connect battery maintainer to the center connected?

If you are asking which pin you will wire the 12V power source to on wiring like the Blue Ox 6-Wire, Coiled Electrical Cord with 6-Way, Round Plugs # BX8862 then yes, the 12V power will be wired to the center pin. The 12V power pin can be used to maintain the battery on your towed vehicle.

If you have a different wiring setup other than the part that I referenced then I will need to know exactly what your setup is so that I can give you an accurate answer.
