Trailer Tire Recommendation for RV with ST225/75-15 and ST235/80-16

Updated 06/15/2017 | Published 06/14/2017

Question:

I was looking at replacing trailer tires and want quality and dependability. it looks like the Kenda Karrier has good reviews. Would you recommend this tire for my applications? 35 ft fifth wheel 12,000 lbs dry weight, 235 80 16 and a 16 ft car trailer with 2 3500 lb axles 225 75 15 both load range E. Can you tell me what each of these sizes weigh per tire and are the made in China or else where? Thanks.

I would go with the Lionshead tire part # LHWL304. This is the nicest tire we have in the size of 225/75-15 and it also has a 2 year roadside warranty which gives a bit of peace of mind.

For the 235/80-16 by Lionshead you'd want then the part # LHWL401.

If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.

What's also great is that the tire has a higher than usual speed rating of 75 mph instead of 65 like the Kenda and most other brands.

I attached an install video for more info on this tire for you to check out as well.
