Will 2008 Ford F-350 Integrated Brake Controller Work with Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes

Question:

I am purchasing a new Jayco Designer fifth wheel and it has electric over hydraulic trailer brakes. Would you know if my factory integrated brake control will work with this camper? If not, is there any kind of adapter available or will I have to replace it with something like a Prodigy controller? Any help/advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The integrated brake controller of a 2008 Ford truck is not compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes. Whether or not we have an adapter that would allow it to work really depends on the actuator the trailer has. Not all actuators have adapters available like the # HBA-CAM which is designed to work with Hydrastar actuators.

Now if you installed a P2 part # 90885 you would be totally fine regardless of the actuator you have. To install it in your truck would require the install adapter part # 3034-P. I attached a help article below that covers how to install a controller in a truck like yours with an integrated controller as well.
