How Does GloLight Thinline LED Stop/Turn/Tail Trailer Light # STL179RB Wire To Trailer Circuits
Updated 06/09/2017 | Published 06/06/2017 >
Question:
Im a little confused how you get the running lights to function on this light. You recommend wiring up two of them using the yellow trailer wire for left turn and the green trailer wire for right turn. Typically the brown trailer wire is for running lights which you are not hooking up at all. It almost seems the light could use another wire or possibly two. My four wire plug has brown wire running lights, yellow wire left turn, green wire right turn/stoplight, white wire ground. Again, this is typical, does not necessarily apply to all applications.

I think the confusion is that the part # STL179RB does not have a left and right side. Basically it is a dual intensity light but one side of the light does not blink with one blinker and the other side with the other blinker.
When you wire this up the white goes to ground, the black is for the running lights, and then the red is for the stop/turn signals.
If you needed this light to work as a blinker setup you'd need one for each side of your trailer.
