Does your trailer have to have LED lights for this to work? Will this work with regular lights?

Curt 7-Way-to-7-Way wiring adapter # C57003 is intended for specific applications with import vehicles like Mercedes, Audi and VW when they tow a trailer that has LED lights. The vehicles that require this adapter are those that have bulb-out sensors which can be fooled by the low power draw of LED trailer lights. Such low power draw can cause the vehicle to think you have a bad bulb and cause an error message on the instrument panel.
This adapter has a male plug that connects to a vehicle 7-way and also a 7-way female socket into which the trailer plug will connect
