Question:
Have a trailer... once i think it was a kawasaki jet ski trailer. My question is... it takes a 1.98 bearing protector but it needs about half an inch more space for the axle nut not to bottom out. The off the shelf regular ones that were on there before i took them off to replace were gutted so the would fit. Can i get a longer 1.98 bp and if so .. were ?

All Bearing Buddy bearing protectors have the same depth, just different diameters. Also, some are threaded to fit threaded hubs while others are not. If your spindles have a grease zerk fitting on the end you will not need to use a Bearing Buddy; that grease zerk means you have EZ-Lube spindles which provide an alternate way to maintain your hubs grease level. For such spindles use part # RG04-040
If it is the actual castle nut that hits the inside surface of the Bearing Buddy then you might check that these are tightened correctly. A castle nut should be snugged but not fully-tightened. Please refer to the linked video at the 2:15 mark.
All standard and Bearing Buddy grease caps for a 1.98-inch hub bore are shown on the linked page.
Please feel free to submit a photo of your spindle if you need additional help.
