Correct Flow Of Exhaust Gases Through A Magnaflow Muffler

Updated 06/01/2017 | Published 05/31/2017

Question:

I saw a reply confirming a reversal on the 2 in one out / visa versa... but I want a dual 2.25 in, 3inch single out... stainless... and silent-ish.... Magnaflow. Still the 3/3 MF12590?? - also 28inch long... a tiny bit shorter would be awesome. Suggestions?

You are correct in that most Magnaflow mufflers have a universal flow design allowing you to dictate which direction the exhaust gases will flow as they pass through the muffler. In order to receive a dual 2.25" inlet diameter with 3" outlet, you will want the MagnaFlow Stainless Steel, Straight-Through Universal Muffler part # MF14278 or part # MF12278 for a satin finish.

The Magnaflow mufflers referenced above is only 24" long therefore should work well for your application. They produce a subtle deep sound at idle while providing a rich throaty tone upon acceleration. These are the only two options we have available for you with the desired attributes.
