Question:

I have a 2023 ram 6 1/2foot bed I purchased a bandw turnover hitch because I didnt have the puck system. The hitch is the bandw companion slider both I purchased from Etrailer. Our fifth wheel camper is a 2025 keystone cougar 24rds with a pin weight of 1430 lbs. My question is do you think I will need air bags? If so what is a good quality choice?

Hey Robert welcome back! Given the suspension in the Ram truck's I do think you're going to see benefits by adding a set of air bags to your 2500. Not sure if you've gotten your new camper and taking it for a trip yet but I am guessing you're going to experience quite a bit of sagging if you having already noticed it.

For your 2023 Ram 2500, I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Ultimate Air Helper Springs item # AL57589. This have a 7,500 lbs capacity and will keep your rear end level when you're hauling your new 5th wheel trailer. All mounting brackets and hardware are included for installation.

Please note that these will not work if you have the factory air suspension.

I also recommend adding the Firestone Air Command item # F2610 to your truck. This onboard compressor will allow you to adjust the PSI in your air bags from your phone.
