My cargo hitch is only 17 inches deep. Will this bag still fit?

The Curt Cargo Bag for Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier - Waterproof - 12.25 Cu Ft # C18210 has dimensions of 56 inches long x 18 wide x 21 tall. With a carrier only 17 deep, this bag will technically be too wide, however it is a bag so it is flexible enough to fit. The only thing to note on making it fit is you may cause damage to the seams over time as this bag is recommended to be used on hitch-mounted cargo carriers at least 56" long x 22" wide. This is the closest fit to the dimensions of your carrier of all the cargo bags we carry and it will keep your gear dry.
