I Lost my sks keys and the cores are in a locked position installed on my roof rack. would this master key help unlock and remove the core?

Expert Reply:

According to our friends at Yakima, the Control Key for the Yakima Same Key System, # Y07204 will only work on lock cores that are already unlocked. If you know the key number, you can order a replacement using the page I have provided a link to.

If you do not know the original key number, having a locksmith pick the locks and then using the SKS control key to replace the cores will be your best option. Once the cores are removed, you can order replacements on the page I have provided a link to.
