Yes and almost yes...a lot of people refer to weight distribution systems as "equalizer hitches" in the same way that people refer to bandages as Band-Aids. Equalizer is a very well-known brand of weight distribution system that people are so familiar with that some just refer to all weight distribution systems as equalizer hitches.

Fastway weight distribution systems are made by the same company as Equal-i-Zer systems so they are almost an Equal-I-Zer in brand as well. They are the entry-level system and the Equal-i-Zer brand is the higher line. The equivalent rated Equal-I-Zer is the part # EQ37060ET to the Fastway. It has 4 points of friction sway control (Fastway uses 2) and uses trunnion bars instead of round bars which will give you better ground clearance.

So the # FA94-00-0600 is almost an Equal-I-Zer or is an equalizer hitch depending on how you look at it!
