Replacement Trailer Brakes and Hub and Drums on Trailer with 3,500 Pound Axle

Question:
Hi I want to replace the brakes and drums on our 06 Nash trailer with 3500 lb axles. Are there problems with either new etrailer or new Dexter drums being out of round? Do they need to be resurfaced before installing? There is almost $100 difference in cost between etrailer and Dexter products. What are the differences in performance and warrantee between etrailer and Dexter brakes and drums? Thanks for your help!

Both the etrailer.com and Dexter hubs are high quality parts and offer the same fit, performance, and warranty. The cost difference is based on our cost so the savings is passed on. Neither of them have an issue with being out of round or need to be resurfaced before installation.
The brake assemblies I recommend for your 3,500 pound axles is # AKEBRK-35-SA. These are self-adjusting so they will need to be adjusted at set up and then left alone. Both the left and right hand brakes are included and labeled to make installation easier.
I've attached a link to our selection of 3,500 pound hub and drum assemblies for you. You'll want to pull the hubs on your trailer and check the bearing numbers and use your bolt pattern to find the correct parts.
