eTrailer Axle Technology Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly compared to Titan Hub and Drum
Published 10/03/2016 >
Question:
I just purchase the AKHD-545-35-EZ-K, but after unboxing it and comparing to the old hub, I believe my hub resembles the T1543900CB042 more. This is off of a Pontoon boat trailer and the old hub actually has a hole in it. I assume to let water drain out. Any help would be appreciated.

In comparing the eTrailer Axle Technology Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly, # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K, with the Titan Hub and Drum, # T1543900CB042, there are very few differences. The differences are mostly in the casting of the part, not in the function or fit of it. Both assemblies will work on the same 3500 lb axle and # 84 spindle. They are both designed to use the same inner and outer bearings and fit a 10 inch assembly. Either one will work just fine for your application.
As far as a hole in the drum, I have never seen or heard of that. The drum is not air or water tight against the brake assembly, so draining wouldn't be an issue.
