Question:

Ive got a dual axle Ram-lin boat trailer. Without tearing it down and not sure if Im going to mess with rear axle yet, Im looking to see if you can tell me what bear, race, seal kit I need for it. It currently has oil bath hubs in front axle that have no oil in at least one side now. So, I want to change over to grease. They are original axles to a 2500# axle according to Ram-lin. The hub is 4 on 5.5inch according to them too. Im not sure I agree with that. thanks!

We can't determine what bearings and race you have based on a serial number. If they are in fact 2500 lb axles, that significantly narrows down our options. You will want to check the bearing numbers on the face of the inner and outer bearing of one of your hubs to determine fit. All of our 2500 lb hubs are 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern and have the same bearing for both inner and outer application.

For both inner and outer bearing # L44643 (1 inch diameter) you can use the CE Smith Trailer Hub Assembly w/ Carrying Case for 2,500-lb Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 - Pre-Greased # CE13210. This is the complete assembly including bearings, races, seals, cap, and lugs.

For an assembly that is not pre-greased, you can use the Trailer Hub Assembly for 2,500-lb Axles # DX22XR.
