Question:
I have 2006 VW Jetta, I will be moving and using a U-Haul trailer. Will your hitch be able to tow this trailer? How much can a Jetta tow?

Expert Reply:
The Curt Hitch part #C11474 is a confirmed fit for your 2006 Volkswagen Jetta as long as it is not the TDI version. It has towing capacities of 2,000 lbs total trailer weight and 200 lbs tongue weight. You would have to check the owner's manual of your vehicle to determine what the towing capacities are and be sure to stay under the lower of the two ratings as you are only as strong as the weakest component in a towing setup.
For trailer wiring you would then want the part # 118667. For a ball mount you would want part # 3593 and then for a 1-7/8 inch ball # 19256 and a 2 inch ball part # 19258.
