Replacement Bow Roller for 5/8 inch Shaft

Updated 01/16/2017 | Published 01/13/2017

Question:

Is this product available that will fit a 5/8inch shaft? The shaft on my bow roller stop is 5/8. The matching 3 1/2 x 1 1/4 rubber end caps do come with a 5/8inch shaft opening so why cant I get the same roller that will also fit this shaft size? Thanks

I have a few different options for you. The Rubber Endcap # YR134-5 that you mentioned can be used with keel rollers, spool rollers, or bow rollers.

If you are wanting to stick with a bow roller, We do have a Bow Roller Assembly # YR450B-400B available that comes with a 1/2 inch shaft. This will eliminate the need to find a bow roller with a bigger shaft hole. I did go out to the warehouse to see with it was possibly that a 5/8 inch shank could fit in a bow roller that has a 1/2 inch hole and it didn't work.

The other option that you have is using a keel roller instead. The Yates V Keel Roller # YR5213-5 will act just like a bow roller, only it is a little wider. It has a width of 5 inches, so if your bracket has enough room for a 5 inch wide roller then I recommend using it.
