Question:
According to everything I can research, the speed rating on the ST175/8013 tire is 65 MPH. In Texas, most of roads I travel the speed limit is 70 - 80 MPH. I have gone thru 3 sets of tires in as many years due to them chunking and blowing out. What tire can I use to be able to run the speed limit and stop burning up the tires. I am hauling a 18 foot aluminum boat so weight is not the cause. Thanks for any help you provide.

I have a great solution for you. The Taskmaster ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire, part # TTWTRTM1758013C is rated for up to 87 mph as it has an M speed rating.
Most trailer tires are only rated for 65 mph so this is a great option for you.
Be sure to keep the tire inflated to it's 50 psi max so that you don't cause heat to build up which is a common cause for tire failure.
