Question:
Im very confused about the kats engine block heater product page for my 2014 camry 4 cylinder. The product video is for a 6 cylinder tacoma truck, the product specs say that this heater does not come in contact with coolant but then later on it says it needs to be submerged in the coolant.....there is so much conflicting information on this product page I have no idea if this is even the correct part for my vehicle. Any clarification you can provide is appreciated.

The 2014 Toyota Camry Kat's Heaters Custom Fit Engine Block Heater, # KH11813, is the correct fit for your 2014 Toyota Camry with 4 cylinder engine. We have confirmed the fit of this specific heater with Kat's Heaters. This product is a custom fit, meaning it will only fit certain vehicles. Both your 2014 Camry and the 2016 Tacoma in the video are a custom fit for this specific part that is why that video is linked to this product page.
This heater simply clicks into the cavity of your engine block and heats the coolant by being immersed to keep it from thickening. You will want to make sure that the element is fully submerged in the coolant mixture before plugging in the heater. To install, you need to locate the cartridge hole, clean it of any debris with compressed air and rotate the clip to secure it in place. Then you will need to route the cord away from hot or moving parts to the grill of your Camry securing it along the way with zip ties.
