Question:

Hello, I have an 04 gmc sierra 2500 hd that needs a replacement trailer wire harness. I expected the harness to plug into the junction box for the rear lights, but it does not. Is there a product that matches up exactly with the color of the factory wires. I dont really want to research wire one by one. Please get back to me. Thanks!

If it's a 7-way you could just basically unplug the connector from the harness and replace it with the # 74682. Your 7-way is going to have a socket basically that it plugs into.

Color for color would be hard. Easiest way would be to pull apart the back of the 7-way so that you can find where each wire terminates on the connector and then wire accordingly to the new 7-way.

Or you wire by function by testing each of the wires with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993.
