The Yakima FullBack 2 Bike Carrier, part # HRF2 will work great on your Countryman. We do not have a video of an installation on a Mini but we do have an installation on a small SUV. I have attached that. It explains how the bike rack is installed. This bike rack has a capacity of 2 bikes that weigh up to 35-lbs each. This rack has a lot of great reviews from satisfied customers and will last a long time for you.

If you are planning on carrying bikes with alternative frames like kids bikes or women's bikes I recommend using an adapter bar like part # 64005. This attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the bike to be carried more level in the carrier while providing additional ground clearance. I have attached a product review video for this adapter bar.

Another option to carry bikes on your Countryman is to install a trailer hitch and use a hitch mounted bike rack.

The trailer hitch I recommend for you is the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C11333 with the stabilizer strap # 18050. This is a Class l hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. `

The bike rack I recommend is the Swagman XC Platform-Style Bike Rack, part # S64650. With a Platform bike rack the bikes are a little easier to load and unload, since you said you were not very tall. This bike rack also has a 4 inch rise on the shank which helps provide additional clearance from the ground.

The center bike hooks attach to the frame of the bike so the adapter bar, part # 64005 can come in handy with this bike rack when carrying bikes with alternative frames.
