What you can do to determine how much visibility you will have is to have someone hold a mirror in about that same location on your 2012 Chevy Silverado LT, and then sit in the driver seat and check out the view.
The pair of CIPA towing mirrors designed to fit your 2012 Chevy Silverado is the # CM10900 the # CM10951 you were looking at is just a fit for the drivers-side mirror only.
Another option other than a towing mirror is to use a camera system such as # 04928. This is a wireless system so I recommend having the camera part mounted up high so the signal has a clearer shot to the monitor. This will give you a much better view than a mirror.
