Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2016 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack to Carry Thule Vertex 4 Bike Rack

Question:
I recently purchased a 2016 Dodge Charger R/T with Scat Pack trim package. I need a hitch that is mostly hidden and can handle a Thule Vertex 4 bike carrier. I think fully loaded with bikes the tongue weight will slightly exceed 100 lbs. Do you have a hitch that 1 can fit my car and 2 can handle the tongue weight? Thanks!

The trailer hitch I recommend for your 2016 Dodge Charger is the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver, Class II # 36548. This trailer hitch has a 1-1/4 inch receiver that will work well with your Thule Vertex.
The # 36548 hitch has been confirmed to fit all models of the 2016 Charger so it will work well for your Charger R/T Scat Pack. The maximum tongue weight capacity of this hitch is 300 pounds, so your 100 pound bike rack plus bikes will fall well within the hitch's capacity.
I really like the Draw-Tite hitch over the Curt trailer hitches for your Charger, because Curt requires that an additional stabilization strap be used to comply with their warranty when bike racks and cargo carriers are used with the hitches they offer for the Charger. Draw-Tite does not have this requirement.
The smaller receiver on the # 36548 hitch will be less obvious than a 2 inch receiver at the rear of your Charger. The cross tube of this hitch will set back far enough that it will not be easily visible. I have attached a photo showing what this hitch will look like installed on a similar Charger.
