Question:
What parts do you suggest for a 2008 Chevy Tahoe 5.3L V8 transmission cooler? I have factory installed one but want to add an additional one for towing. Thanks

For a towing application adding a supplemental transmission cooler to your 2008 Chevy Tahoe 5.3L V8 is an excellent way to reduce thermal stress and help prolong the life of your transmission.
The OEM cooler (built into the radiator) is meant for normal driving but by itself it will not be able to match the combined cooling performance you'll get from a secondary unit.
I recommend the Class III-rated Derale Series 8000 cooler # D13503 and Radiator Adapter Fitting # D13035 which avoids need to cut and flare lines. I have linked an installation video showing a 2011 Chevrolet vehicle.
This high-efficiency plate-fin cooler installs in Tahoes that have a transmission fluid dipstick. If you have a transmission with a closed system (no dipstick) refer installation to a qualified professional.
