I have a trailer with a 5 inch square outer tube. I will need a 4.5 inch inner tube to fit gooseneck to 5TH coupler.

All the Gooseneck to Fifth Wheel hitch adapters we offer have a 4 inch square tube, and wouldn't be compatible with your existing 5 inch square outer tube. If you wanted to go with the more standard 4 inch square inner tubing coupler/adapter, you could remove your existing outer tube and use the outer tube of the # BD0289590300 in its place.

If you needed to tow a gooseneck, you can use the Bulldog Coupler inner tube, # BD0288660300. This coupler would be compatible with the outer tube provided with the # BD0289590300.

With a set up like this, you'd be able to swap back and forth as needed.
