How to Make 7-Way Adapter for Scooter Lift to Plug Into 7-Way on Honda Ridgeline

Question:

I am using a mobility scooter lift that fits in the trailer hitch of my 2011 Honda Ridgeline. I have a 2 wire flat plug on the scooter lift that I need to have full time power. If I use the PK 12716 adapter, which will be the constant hot and constant ground? I know that two of the 4 wires will be for the turn signals, dont want to use them at all, if I can help it. Thanks,

The adapter part # PK12716 that you referenced only carries turn signal circuits so while I have a solution that would work, this would not be it.

Instead you would want to wire the scooter lift power wires to a 7-way like part # PK12706. The ground circuit will be the pin in the 5:00 position and the 12 volt power would be in the 11:00 position.

Same here. But the wheelchair lift has a a 2 red & 2 black How do I know which is which? The Harmer manual only talks about using an external harness, which is silly because I have a four pin and seven pin on my car. I understand that I need to connect the tail lights & aux power. How are you supposed to know which is what? I live in an area that has very little to take it to someone

@Jennifer You'd have to check with Harmer to get that info as we don't have a way to determine which black wire and which red wire does what.
