How Does the Lock Knob of the Thule Spare Me TH963PRO Work
Published 01/07/2016 >
Question:
Im finally getting around to taking my Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Carrier that I purchased from etrailer off. How do I get the rack knob off? Using the key, it is either locked down or spinning ... but not releasing?

The lock of the knob on the Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Rack # TH963PRO is designed to either allow you to actually loosen it (unlocked), or it will just spin freely (locked).
What you described as locked down is actually unlocked. With it in the position spin the know counter-clockwise and it will release.
Around the 1:35 mark of the video I attached the lock system is described.
