could you put up perhaps a short clip of how did you remove the locking knob of the bike rack thule apex, please still trying to figure it out without having to use a grinder and cut it down the middle. thanks

The Replacement Locking Anti-Rattle Knob for Thule Apex Bike Racks and Rain Gutter Foot Packs part # 753-0073 simply threads off/on. That said, the lock (if equipped) will need to be unlocked in order to do so. If the knob is unlocked, there will be tension when tightening and loosening. If there is no tension then that means the knob is locked. If it's stuck, try some penetrating oil on the threads going into the body or possibly some targeted heat.
