Question:

I am seeking to construct a utility trailer using stock Chevrolet 6X5.5 lug pattern wheels. These wheels have a 78.1mm / 3.07inch center bore. Will these wheels fit on the referenced hubs? Thank you.

The Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-655-35-K that you referenced has a hub bore (where its grease cap fits) of 1.988-inches. Your Chevrolet wheels with their 3.07-inch pilot hole will fit on these hubs.

You will want to be sure to use only special trailer (ST-type) tires on the wheels when you fabricate your trailer. Passenger car tires are not suitable for use on trailers. ST tires are made with stiffer side walls to handle the vertical loads found on a trailer.
