Question:

Are the carriage bolts which are part of Y8870039 1/4inch in diameter? I lost the wingnut to a 1/4inch carriage bolt for a Yakima Kayak rack which is no longer sold. It resembles the Hullriser but the assembly which mounts the rack to the bar is difference. The bolts and nuts in the replacement pack Y8870039 look very similar to the parts for my rack, but I cannot tell the diameter of the bolt and I do not have a Yakima part number to reference. I can say with certainty that my carriage bolt 1/4. Thanks.

I pulled one of the Yakima Hardware Kits for the Yakima LoadWarrior Fairing, part # Y8870039, and measured the carriage bolts (3) that are included. These do measure 1/4-inch in diameter, 2-1/4-inches long and have a thread pitch of 20-TPI. This kit is intended for use with Yakima's LoadWarrior Fairing on their LoadWarrior roof top basket # Y07070.
