How Tall Can the Tailgate be on 2014 Ram 2500 for Westin Truck-Pal Fold-Up Bed Ladder # 10-3000

Question:
The measurement from the tailgate to the ground. Is the 38inch from the inside of the tailgate to the ground or the outside with the tailgate down? I suspect its the inside but just want to make sure as my inside measurement is slightly longer than 38. Thanks Truck is a 2014 Dodge Ram Heavy Duty 2500 6.4 Hemi. Standard cab. Tradesman.

Like you mentioned, the Westin Truck-Pal Fold-Up Bed Ladder # 10-3000 is designed to be used on trucks with a tailgate height up to 38 inches. This is the measurement from the mounting surface on the tailgate where the ladder attaches to the ground with the tailgate open. I included a picture that shows this.
