Question:
The Bulldog Heavy-Duty A-Frame Coupler, # BD44150WH301 My Exiss 2 horse bumper pull trailer only has 4 holes on each side of the coupler...all the bolt-on couplers show 10 holes and the help QandA said use 10 bolts. Will 8 bolts work or will these be a problem?

Bulldog Heavy-Duty Cast Head A-Frame 2-5/16-Inch Coupler # BD44150WH301 is intended for standard 50-degree a-frame trailer frames. This unit is a bolt-on item and its rated 15,000-lb capacity is based on it being installed using all mounting holes to evenly distribute forces. If you were to use only 8 of the 10 mounting holes there would be some undetermined loss of capacity. It is not possible to exactly predict this drop in weight capacity. I recommend drilling the additional holes, or using a weld-on coupler that offers the same 15K capacity.
