Can Head of an Electric A-Frame Trailer Jack be Rotated to Clear Lowered Tailgate

Question:

can the head of this jack be turned sideways? My problem is when I lower my tail gate, the end of the tail gate hits the head of the jack by about 2. Thus cannot lower the tailgate when connected to the trailer. I transport dogs in a slide in dog box. Cannot transport dogs with the tail gate on and tow the travel trailer at the same time. If I can rotate the head of the jack, I will have sufficient room to lower the tailgate. Thanks in advance.

You can rotate the whole trailer jack, such as # LC285318 or another A-frame mount jack, by unbolting it from the trailer, turning it, and bolting it back on. You would not be able to rotate just the head by itself.
