Recommended Cargo Carrier for Motorized Wheelchair

Im looking for something to carry a motorized wheelchair. Do you have a product that would be easy for a woman to use?

One of our most popular hitch cargo carriers with a ramp is the MaxxTow 27x47 Cargo Carrier with 60 Inch Pivoting Ramp # MT70275. This carrier will fit in a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver and has a weight capacity of up to 500 pounds. The longer ramp on this carrier will make it easier to load a wheelchair on this carrier than those carriers that have a shorter ramp. Once the wheelchair is loaded, the ramp will fold in half, pivot up, and be secured in place with a pin and clip. Being made out of aluminum will make this ramp a bit lighter than those made out of steel.

I have attached a review video of this carrier for you.

I recommend checking your vehicle's and your trailer hitch's tongue weight capacities to ensure you can safely carry your motorized wheelchair on your vehicle. For example, if your vehicle and trailer hitch are capable of carrying 500 pounds tongue weight, you will want to subtract the weight of the carrier from 500 in order to find how much weight you can carry on your cargo carrier. With the # MT70275 carrier and a vehicle and hitch with a 500 pound tongue weight capacity, you would be able to carry 423 pounds on the carrier.

If you do not already have the needed tie-down straps to secure your motorized wheelchair, I recommend the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps with Push Button Releases # EM34415. Each strap has a safe working load limit of 400 pounds.
