Question:
What do you think? Can this handle carrying a 250# dirt bike mounted on a dirt bike hitch carrier then have a trailer mounted on the ball mount? Probably only 50-100 of tongue weight from the trailer. Ford F150 draw tie hitch.

Helpful Expert Reply:
I have talked to Curt about using the multipurpose ball mount # D210 with a dirt bike carrier before and they advised against it. This is because most dirt bike carriers stick out really far from the receiver and this would put too much stress on the receiver part of the D210 ball mount.
If putting the bike in the truck bed is an option you could use a ramp such as # EM07464.
Another possible option is to use a front mount hitch and carry the bike at the front of the truck. I would need to know the year of your F-150 to determine if there are front mount hitches available. This method is possible but the bike will reduce driver visibility, restrict air flow to the motor, and could block the front lights on the truck.
