Is the installation video talked about herw http://www.etrailer.com/question-11924.html the same as the video you show for the 2009 model ram 1500? if not, when will it be posted and where?

The brake controller installation on a 2010 Dodge Ram would be pretty much identical to that as the 2009 model shown in the video. The installation port is located under the dash midway between the emergency brake and the brake pedal, just above where your left knee would be as you are sitting behind the wheel. The connector is either white or light blue in color. If you need the wiring adapter that connects the brake controller to the under-dash connector, we offer it. The part # is 3021-P for use with Tekonsha Brake controllers like the Prodigy 2, part # 90885 or the P-3 part # 90195. An adapter that terminates in bare leads is also available, part # 3021-S which is what you'd need if you have a controller that doesn't have a connector on its wiring harness. We do not yet have a video for the 2010 Ram.

Keep in mind, the connector is usually not present on models that did not come from the factory equipped with the 7-way trailer connector. If this is the case with your vehicle, you can use the Brake Controller Installation Kit, part # ETBC7. The kit contains everything necessary for installing a brake controller. We have an install guide that will walk you through the install process, I will provide a link to the install guide.
