I have just the trailer hitch for your 2014 Volkswagen Golf. Take a look at the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 24825. This fully welded, corrosion-resistant hitch receiver is perfect for your light-duty towing needs. This hitch does not require fascia trimming as it sits below the fascia.
If you plan to do a little light towing you will want If you do have the regular Golf TDI then the recommended ball mount is # 3594. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring use # 119250KIT.
