How to Pick out Replacement Bearings for Tracker Boat Trailer

Updated 09/24/2024 | Published 06/05/2015

Question:

Im hoping you can tell me what size hub bearings I need for my Tracker boat trailer. The trailer was built in 1989. 1700 lb capacity and came with a 17 Ft aluminum bass boat. I took out the old bearing front side and cannot read the number on it. It says Romania - has a UCF - has a winch by itself and it has numbers but they are unreadable. The Vin number for the trailer is 1Jl11CC10K. Can you tell me what replacement bearings and seal I should get? Thanks in advance

The best way to find the correct replacement bearings is to get the numbers stamped onto the metal of the inner and outer bearings that are currently on the trailer. If you cannot read those numbers your other option is to measure the spindle of your trailer with a micrometer to get the diameter of it where the seal, inner, and outer bearings ride. See picture.

I have included a link to a video on inspecting trailer bearings that should help you when removing the old bearings.

@RickT You'll need to pull the hubs and get the part numbers off of the bearings, like in the question above. There's no database that shows me what you have on your trailer.
