Way to Transport Dirt Bike with Class I Hitch
Updated 05/26/2015 | Published 05/22/2015 >
Question:
Im looking at purchasing a trailer hitch and a hitch mount rack for my 2012 Jetta, I want to get a rack I can put my dirtbike on rather than pulling a trailer through town and Im wondering if thats a possibility or not. Ive seen other sedans with this setup but I dont want to waste the money or risk damaging my vehicle if its going to be too heavy. If you have any recommendations or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Your Jetta is going to be restricted to a Class I hitch. There are no Class II hitches available for your Jetta. And a dirt bike and carrier would exceed the weight rating of any Class I trailer hitch for the Volkswagen Jetta.
We do offer a few small trailers, for carrying mobility scooters/wheelchairs, motorcycles, kayaks, etc that might work for you. You can see them by clicking the provided link.
