Question:
What is the purpose of the RM-88400. I just installed it because I was told that I need it on my 2014 honda CRV and everything works fine. However I dont understand why its needed.

The Roadmaster brake relay kit # RM-88400 you referenced will prevent your 2014 Honda CR-V's brake signal from overriding the turn signal sent by your RV. It's only active when you depress the brake pedal.
If the brake light relay isn't installed, the supplemental braking system that you are using will depress the CR-V's brake pedal which will activate the brake lights and override the turn signal. It's illegal to have vehicle brake lights override the turn signal from a motorhome.
