Will this lock work on a coupler that doesnt have a lip around it? If not, what would be the best comparable option? Thank you !

For a trailer coupler without a lip that runs around it I have a solution, but the Blaylock Industries Locks # BLTL-36 that you referenced would not work since you don't have the lip.
Instead I would recommend the Fastway coupler lock part # FA86-0015-318 as this does not require a lip for installation and is our most popular and versatile coupler lock.
