Question:
Replacing current Fulton 441500 with bad torsion spring on coupler. See enclosed image Is the BD44150WH301 a bolt in replacement with current holes? Rough measurements look similar on the A How did Bully dog plan safety chain attachment. on the BD44150WH301 The fulton 441500 chains are attachment in the straight section behind the 2 5/16 ball there are a couple thru bolts that chains are looped thu that are not in the newer BD44150WH301 design.

I attached a picture of the mounting holes for the Bulldog Heavy-Duty A-Frame Coupler, # BD44150WH301 that you referenced for you to check out so that you can compare them to the ones on your current coupler. Based on the picture you submitted this coupler should work as a replacement since Fulton and Bulldog are sister companies.
Typically safety chains will attach to the trailers frame instead of the coupler. The idea is that if the coupler where to break off the safety chains would still work because they aren't attached to the coupler.
