Can Replacement Mirrors with Heat Function Be Added on 1999 F-350 SuperDuty
Updated 04/20/2015 | Published 04/18/2015 >
Question:
My current driver's mirror set does not have the heat option. If I order a custom replacement set full plate mirror, no splitfoot feature for the lower portion convex what else would I need to make the heating feature fully functional? Thanks.

Expert Reply:
The correct replacement driver's-side electric mirror for your truck is CIPA part # CM47597.
Additional mirror functions such as heat cannot be added to a vehicle that was not manufactured with that function already in place. The wiring to support the power for heat must be in place from the factory and cannot be added.
