The only video we currently have on the DeeZee tailgate assist # DZ43200 is our installation videos on the 2011 and 2013 Ford F-150. To remove it, you can simply pull the shock off of the ball joints. Unfortunately, there isn't a video showing it at this time.

Is special tool required to PULL shock off ball joints for removal? I dont want to break shock as I need to reinstall it ...... covers T-25 screw removal necessary to replace burnt out brake light.

You shouldn't need any kind of special tool to pull the shock off the ball joint. It'll come off relatively easily without damaging the unit. They're just pushed into place on the ball during installation, so removing it is just a matter of pulling them off (reversing the process).

For the DeeZee tailgate assist we have the replacement hardware kit part #BKT43301 that comes with the new bolt you are looking for plus a few other things that you could keep as replacement parts.
