how do you no how many links of chain to use each time u hook up the bars to be correct in is it till u see or feel its level ed out

How many links get used when installing a weight distribution system really depends on the tongue weight of the trailer. Basically you set up a WD system so that the tow vehicle sits as level as possible when loaded.
Changing the amount of links used (or the angle of the WD head), allow the system to apply more or less spring bar tension on the setup. You want to apply the correct amount so that the tow vehicle sits as level as possible. You won't want to use less than 6 links.
