Best Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2007 Chevy Silverado New Body

Can a oem brake controller such as GM part#25854535 be added to a 2007 Chevy Silverado new body style to keep from installing an aftermarket trailer brake controller. If this part does not complete the install, what would I need? Thank you,

I am sure there is a way to install an OEM integrated brake controller on your 2007 Chevy Silverado. But I would strongly recommend you go with an aftermarket brake controller because they end up costing less and perform much better.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.

To install this controller you will just need to wire it to the bundle of wires you have under your dash that are for brake controller installation and then make a couple connections under the hood of the truck.
