Question:

Hi, I am having the same problem as others with the mercedes not working with led trailer lights. What kind of adapter can fix the problem? I have the factory 7 point connector. Thanks

Mercedes vehicles do have problems with LED trailer lights. Fortunately there are special adapters that create more current draw that will allow the affected vehicles to tow a trailer with LED lights and not have that bulb out sensor issue. Since you have a 7-Way wiring harness on the Mercedes you can use the 7-Way to 7-Way adapter, # 20142 or the 7-Way to 4- and 5-Way adapter # C35FR.

With the adapter you will be able to tow your trailer with your 2011 Mercedes without a problem. The adapter has built in load resistors that create more draw so the sensors think everything is working normally.
