I need a replacement key for a Thule ski rack. The number on the cylinder is 056, but there is no N as described in your replacement key part number. Thule snowpack TH7324. Would N056 fit?

Yes, the replacement Thule Key part # THKEYN056 would be the correct key for your lock core that is stamped with just a 056 on your Thule Universal Flat Top # TH7324.

Yes, the tools that come with the replacement mounting brackets will allow you to remove the old hardware before you install the new hardware. I attached a picture I took from install instructions that show how all the pieces come together as well.

The nuts are built into the bottom bracket. They are not a loose part that you will have to thread on manually. This makes it easier to install the feet to the crossbars. I have incldued a picture pointing out the nut.

You can use either the Thule 2-Wing Knob #753-1897-03 which came on the Thule 725 Ski Carrier or you can use the Round Nut #853-5439 with the Mounting Kit #7533998 you have. You will need 2 of the knobs or nuts per mount or 4 total for the set.
