Expert Reply:
Bulldog A-frame trailer coupler # BD43805W0317 does not have holes on the side because it is a weld-on coupler. Coupler # BD44150WH301 can be bolted on but it is for a 2-5/16 inch ball, not a 2 inch ball like # BD43805W0317.
All of the other A-frame couplers we have are weld-on applications. If you go with a weld-on coupler the welding will need to be performed by a qualified professional welder.
