AJ What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the Fogatti replacement cover for the tankless water heater. So this is gonna be good if the latch is worn out or the hinges wear out, you can just replace the cover and not have to worry about replacing the whole thing. Let's check it out. Keep in mind this only works with the Fogatti tankless water heater, so you can't just put it on any of the water heaters but you get the door with replacement hardware to put and install this. The frame is also with it, so we'll get to install that as well and everything else that the door had originally.

Now this is gonna be a replacement part, so it's the same as the door you had on here before, just newer features that goes from the hinges. You're gonna work the same, probably operate a little bit better, that's why you're replacing it. You also have the seals here, so when you close the door it seals it up. We have a new screen here, that way you don't have to replace that either. You even got the grommet here to help go around the exhaust.

When you go to close, it can be adjusted. It'll stay in place after the first few uses but you might have to adjust it on the first or second closing. The latch on the outside, the same way. Just turn it, push it down, and it latches the door closed. Now you do have options when it comes to colors.

It comes in white and black. So if this one matches your regular look better, you can go with a different color, but it's gonna attach the exact same way. Check out how we did it. First thing you're gonna want to do is remove the old frame that you're replacing. Now that's gonna require you to chip away at some of the butyl tape that goes all around here and seals it.

Make sure you scrape it all off of the side of your rig so you can put the new butyl tape on there for the new frame. Now today, since we're only doing this for demonstration purposes, I'm not actually going to rip out the old frame. I'm just gonna leave it here and we'll go through the install process from there. Now we're gonna add our screws to hold the frame in. So around the outside we're gonna use the bigger screws here, the smaller ones are saved for the hinges and on the inside of the frame. So we'll just run each one of these in. drill running It'll hold in place. drill running Going around the frame, right in each one of these holes, we're gonna put one of the screws. These are the smaller screws. So just run those in Drill Running like that. And we're gonna repeat that process on the remaining holes. Now we're ready to attach our door to the frame. We have the hinges already installed, so what we're gonna do is line those up with the spots on the frame where you attach them. So hold it up right about there. And we're gonna put the screws in. So I got a couple of them in my hand. I found it easier to push the screw through the hinge, as you push it up towards the frame, push all the way through. That way you can get it started, and it'll help you hold the door in place as you tighten the screw. Now with the door holding itself up by the hinges, we're gonna do the same thing for the remaining holes. drill running Now with that all done, we can shut the door. Now there might be some adjustment here with the grommet to line up with the exhaust. See I'm pushing it on there. I can move it around just a little bit to get it where it needs to be. Right there. Then, close the door. Overall, I like that you can replace the door just in case something happens. Maybe you left it open, bent it back, or one of the hinges broke. You don't have to worry about just taping it up or trying to make something work. You're gonna order a new replacement door and have it looking like new again. Well, I think that does it.
