Adapter lets you use your 2" hitch-mounted accessories with your 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" trailer hitch and extend your trailer hitch receiver opening with the same piece. Hitch pin and clip or hitch lock are sold separately.

Bought this mainly as a longer reducer. Hitch pin holes don’t line up do to the weld behind the front ring. Had to grind the weld down and re- paint it. I should have sent it back, but I needed it right away and had to make it work.
I needed an extender/reducer to work with my hitch mounted bike rack and this was perfect!

Works as described. I use this on my 2500HD when using my Thule bike rack since the OEM hitch receiver is to big.

reducer is fine. I wonder how a third hole would affect the integrity of the extender. I would be nice to be slightly closer to the truck, but working just fine. Have ordered a stabilizer/anti rattle bracket for a 2.5 inch
This extender let’s me use my Yakima Stage Two bike rack with my F-350 2.5” hitch receiver. It basically provides a way to convert the 2.5” receiver to the 2” bike rack. No more bicycle rattling around in the bed of the truck.

Needed to move our bike rake back so we could open the door on our topper while the bikes were on the rack and it was just enough to do that to make it easier on our vacation to get in the back

Just what I needed to attach the bike rack (2" hitch mount) on my RAM 2500. Combined with an Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp it's solid & quiet.

The extension works well with my Thule T2 pro XTR bike rack. I can now open my tailgate with the bikes on the rack without tilting the bike rack down. It is a bit lose in the receiver and will require a hitch receiver anti rattle clamp to make it tight.
Fits fine and was as described on the web site. Have note towed with it yet, but it should work fine.
Customer service was great. They changed my shipping method to get it to me faster with no additional cost to me.

It does not fit the use I tended it for
